About Me
Tony Venning-Thomas began a serious interest in photography in 1995 while on a visit to England and Italy, where he became fascinated with the quality of light on ancient buildings. Returning to New Zealand he opened his own studio in Auckland where he specialised in wedding photography and family portraiture. His current projects centre on New Zealand nature photography including both landscape, for which he has developed techniques for composite panoramic shots, and wildlife. He has specialised in photographing New Zealand native birds.
He is President of the Nelson Camera Club and a Licentiate of the Photographic Society of New Zealand. His work has won several Australasian awards including first prize in the NZ Australian Professional Photographers competition, organised by CR Kennedy.I’m a paragraph.
